These two new kits is just the tip of the iceberg for TAMIYA - the well known manufacturer in educational kits, scale modeling and radio control hobby products. According to an inside source, robotics for the junior and grade school market is relatively new. In middle and secondary and even engineering schools, these are well supported by various lines of products. The two new products areĀ TAM72101 Gear Head Motor with Sponge tire set and TAM72102 Gear Motor with Pin Tire Set TAM72101 Introducing a new series of component materials designed for use in building competition ready robots!. These high quality and heavy duty parts give you the tools you need to dominate at robot competition events. The first release is a transmission unit consisting of 2 powerful gear head otors and 2 high grip tires sets. One unit (1 tire & motor) can support approximately 2 kg, with total supporting weight of 4 kg. 380K75 motor running DC7.2V power source has a rotational speed of 242 rpm and max torque of 5.0kg/cm. Running Speed is per 0.74 sec (with 4 kg). Total weight is 480 g.
